Prospective students should contact the Temple University Admissions offices to learn more about Temple's academic programs, admissions requirements and the application process.
If you plan to study at Temple University under F-1 or J-1 nonimmigrant student status you must obtain and submit both an application for admission and an application for a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20/DS-2019). If you hold a nonimmigrant status that allows for study, you are not required to apply for a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20/DS-2019.

To apply for the Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 on-line please navigate to Certificate of Eligibility (form I-20 or DS-2019) and submit the following documents:
Copy of your passport's biographical page
Financial documentation or full copy of scholarship/assistantship letter.

The Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20 or DS-2019) is the immigration form you will need in order to obtain F-1 or J-1 status if you are one of the following:
Your I-20 will be issued once we receive all requirements and you have confirmed your attendance at Temple University by paying the deposit fee.

Once your I-20 is issued, you will be notified. If you are still abroad or applying for a change of status, you will need to pay the SEVIS fee and apply for your student visa.
