Temple University requires proof of funding for the student's first academic year of study and that, barring unforeseen circumstances, adequate funding will be available from the same or equally dependable sources for subsequent years.

Funding must be no older than 6 months.

Apply for your I-20 or DS-2019 here

Please see tuition and fees for estimated expenses for the upcoming academic year. Please note that this is only an estimate of funding, and is not an actual bill.

If the funding is not in your name, your sponsor will need to fill out an Affidavit of Support.

If you will be living with someone in the US who is providing you with free room and board, you will need to fill out this form

By virtue of submitting financial documentation to Temple University’s Office of International Student and Scholar Services, you have indicated that you have sufficient finances available to you for the first year of study. You will not be eligible to work off campus until you have been in valid F1 status for one year. Please see Student Employment Options | Temple University International Student and Scholar Services for details. There are no loans available from the university and any funding you will be awarded has already been indicated in your acceptance. Please note that any scholarships that will be awarded are listed on your I-20 acceptance letter or assistantship letter. Your acceptance letter supersedes any funding amounts listed on the I-20. If you have any questions about the funding listed on your I-20 as compared to your acceptance letter, contact ISSS immediately.
