Obtaining J-1 Status if Already In The Us

Foreign Nationals in the US have two options if they wish to obtain J-1 Exchange Visitor status: one is to travel outside the US and reenter in J-1 status after obtaining a J-1 visa stamp from a US Embassy and then other is to apply for a Change of Status in the US with USCIS.
