Join us for our annual Global Engagement Week, a week-long internationally focused programming event, designed to spotlight Temple’s international community starting from October 21st to October 25th!
You might remember this week as #YouAreWelcomeHere Week or Super Mega Global Week, but last year we updated the name to reflect how comprehensive it is. Discover events concentrating on all aspects of globalization from learning about new cultures to exploring study abroad. Please join us!
Global Gala
Global Engagement Week will close with our signature event, the Global Gala! This event will feature a mixture of tabling, food, performances, and more, to spotlight the cultural diversity of the Temple community. This year’s Global Gala will take place on Friday, October 25th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Howard Gittis Student Center, Room 200.

The Founder's Garden
Join us in the Founder's Garden to kick off this year's Global Engagement Week: Your Ticket to the World. Learn about the week's exciting events. celebrate the diversity of Temple’s global community and celebrate World Heritage sites and cities connected to Temple's campuses. Test your knowledge of trivia round the world to win prizes and enjoy treats!

International Coffee Hour: Japan

HGSC Underground
Join us for an international coffee hour spotlighting Japan! Socialize with other students, both international and domestic, and learn more about the richness of Japanese culture. A student leader from Japan will display a dynamic presentation about the country's rich culture and language, and you'll be able to enjoy delicious Japanese treats! This event is in co-partnership with the Japanese Culture & Conversation Club and Japanese Student Association.
Wellness Recharge

Join us for a rejuvenating and relaxing session of yoga followed by a sound bath. Immerse yourself in the practice of yoga known for its dynamic blend of postures, breathwork and meditaiton to awaken your inner energy. After the yoga session, unwind with a soothing sound bath, an ancient art using sound vibrations, to harmonize your mind, body and spirit.
Study Abroad Fair

Global Careers at the UN

Explore career paths for working at the United Nations! Hear from a UN professional, gain insights into possible roles, and learn how to jumpstart your global career. Temple Lingo

Join Temple Lingo to learn key useful business phrases in a variety of different languages using fun and interactive short lessons. Global Connections Mixer

Come to the Global Connections Mixer to meet and mingle with Temple students who have studied abroad! This event is for students who are interested in studying abroad in the future as well as study abroad students who have returned. Learn more about study abroad scholarship programs from the winners of the Gilman International Scholarship and Vira I. Heinz Scholarship. Hear firsthand experiences from students who have studied abroad, including Education Abroad Peer Advisors and Ambassadors. Register and discover where in the world Temple will take you!

Don't miss the grand finale of Global Engagement Week, the biggest international event of the year, designed to celebrate our global and cultural diversity! Sample FREE food, enjoy cultural performances by Temple students, visit tables representing Temple international campus groups and learn about World Heritage sites and cities related to Temple's campuses.
